If you have a set of images or documents that you want to publish in an efficient format, then speak to us first. We have a huge amount of experience in this field. All too often people try to do it themselves without a complete understanding of the basic principles involved. That just results in an amateurish product that is difficult to navigate, confusing for the end customer, or which is going to be simply incompatible with many customers' software or computers.

We can give honest to goodness advice on the best way of doing things, whether it is publishing images and documents on the internet, or publishing them to CD or DVD. (Very often, a product can be designed for both the web and CD). Old books and documents can also be formatted for facsimile reprints to be made.

CD/DVD publishing is both efficient and cost-saving. Unlike printed books, you don't need to have lots made and hold them in stock until you sell them. With CD publishing you can publish on demand. No stocks to tie up cash!

So you have a concept. An idea of what your CD or web pages needs to contain. But it all needs collating properly so that the final product will work.

A CD or set of web pages can contain a mixture of different types of data. The most common is a CD that opens up and runs like a set of web pages, with inter-linked pages. Another type is a set of PDF files, with bookmarks and a contents page. Or even a combination of the two. A powerpoint presentation. Add some music or video? The possibilities are endless.     Book marking of the PDF file is a form of indexing which provides an electronic link to the book marked page, it is particularly useful for the indexing of chapter headings and will allow the reader to skip straight to the desired chapter. It is also possible to embed links within the pages to go direct to other sections or pages.

It started as an old book published in 1843. We scanned it, and enlarged it a little (the original book was smaller and with very small print). We designed a new cover, with some artwork based on one of the pictures in the book. And we created a computer file that was ready to send direct to the printers to have a new paperback made.
